Florence M. Adamo
Florence has been representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and North Carolina Department of Revenue for the past several years working to negotiate the best possible tax resolution for her clients, which includes establishing installment agreements, submitting offers in compromise, obtaining currently not collectible status, or requesting innocent spouse relief. With her firm, she continues to represent taxpayers and is dedicated to ensuring her clients are treated fairly and are given the opportunity to obtain a reasonable payment resolution or collection alternative with the respective taxing authorities.
Florence understands that many taxpayers are intimidated by the thought of dealing with their tax issues. Therefore, she is committed to making the process more workable and less fearsome by clearly navigating her clients’ expectations and looking out for her clients’ best interest by ensuring their rights are protected.
Raised in North Carolina, Florence went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in chemistry. In the years that followed, Florence worked for various pharmaceutical companies in Research Triangle Park as an analytical chemist before pursuing a law degree. After obtaining her J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law, she attended Villanova University School of Law Graduate Tax Program where she also worked part-time at the law school’s Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic representing clients before the IRS.
Florence now lives in Blacksburg, Virginia with her husband, Mike, and their hound dog, Roscoe.
